"It's hard to believe that our beloved colleague Prof. Ch. Sathyanarayana is no longer with us. We are deeply saddened by the passing of Prof. Ch. Sathyanarayana.
He was friendly with all the colleagues in the department. Particularly, he used to be very friendly with all his younger colleagues. He was very good teacher and I had many discussions with him about the subject and the laboratory experiments during our association in Arts and Science college. Once when I was discussing some subject related matter with Prof. Dinker Sirdeshmukh, he praised the teaching abilities of Prof. Ch. Sathyanarayana and his strengths in fundamental physics. Prof. Sathyanarayana did good work in liquid crystal research and his student Prof. Srilatha is continuing that work in the department. He took voluntary retirement in 2005 from university service about two years prior to his scheduled retirement. I cherish the memories I had with him and I used to like his happy-go-lucky type attitude. His sudden death shocked us.
Our thoughts are with his family and our deepest condolences to his family members.

With deep sorrow, we announce the sad demise of Prof. Ch. Satyanarayana, a distinguished faculty member of the Department of Physics. He passed away suddenly this afternoon after experiencing chest pain, despite being in good health earlier in the day. Prof. Satyanarayana had breakfast and lunch as usual, but tragically succumbed to what is believed to be a massive cardiac arrest.
His family is awaiting the arrival of his son from the United States before the cremation can take place. Further details will be shared once arrangements are confirmed.
Life is precious and fleeting. Let us remember Prof. Satyanarayana with love and cherish the moments we have with him.
